§ Mr. Thurtleasked the Minister of Works if he is aware of the shortage which exists in London of supplies of wired glass for factory roofs; and what prospect there is of supplies of this material becoming available in the near future.
§ Mr. Tomlinson:Yes, Sir, I am aware that there is a general shortage of wired glass owing to abnormal demands. The present production is 50 per cent. greater 244W than prewar and consideration is being given to augmenting supplies by imports.
