HC Deb 04 April 1946 vol 421 cc222-3W
Mr. Emrys Roberts

asked the Minister of Health how many houses were built in each county in Wales, in each of the years 1919 to 1945, inclusive.

Mr. Bevan:

I regret that details regarding the number of houses built yearly in each county in Wales are not available for the period 1st January, 1919, to 31st March. 1936. The following statement covers that period in bulk, and gives annual figures for the years ending 31st March, 1937, to 31st March, 1945:

1945, and March, 1946, as shown in the northern and southern registers; and also give the numbers of admissions in the respective counties and the comparative age groups of those admitted.

Mr. Bevan:

The total numbers of admissions during the quarters of 1945 are as follow:

I have not yet received the number of admissions for the quarter just ended, and have not the other information desired, but I am making inquiries and will inform my hon. Friend of the result.
