HC Deb 04 April 1946 vol 421 cc219-20W
5. Squadron-Leader Donner

asked the Minister of Health whether he has con sidered the opportunity over the next 10 years of beautifying the appearance of the new housing estates by appropriate tree, flowering shrub and creeper planting; and whether to this end he will set up a small committee of experts to assist in the task of advising local authorities in the matter and, in cases where they desire it, of giving practical advice on the spot.

Mr. Bevan:

Advice on this subject is given in the report on site planning and layout in relation to housing published with the report of the Central Housing Advisory Committee on "Design of Dwellings" (pages 71–73), of which I will send the hon. and gallant Member a copy. I do not think any further action is required.
