§ Sir B. Smith:As my hon. Friend was informed in answer to his Question on this subject on 20th March, it is not possible to say what quantities of wheat and flour were regarded as being held in reserve at 31st December, 1943. Stocks at 31st December, 1945, contained only a small reserve element and were little more than sufficient to ensure uninterrupted distribution and processing.
