HL Deb 02 April 1946 vol 140 c544WA
THE EARL OF MANSFIELD

asked His Majesty's Government if they will state the acreage of the disused aerodrome at Findo-Gask, Perthshire; and if they can now say when this large area of good agricultural land will be again made available for cultivation, and under what conditions.

VISCOUNT STANSGATE

Findo-Gask airfield covers some 400 acres, of which about 135 are taken up with buildings, hard standings, wire tracking and so on. The local agricultural authorities are arranging for 140 acres to be ploughed this year, while the remaining land, which is unsuitable for arable farming, will continue to be used for grazing.

House adjourned at twenty-five minutes past six o'clock.
