102. Mr. Skeffinģtonasked the Minister of Works whether he is aware that trenches for drains are now being dug across the site of the Budbury Circle; and whether he has satisfied himself that this will not constitute a violation of the undertaking given by his Department that work would not proceed on this prehistoric site without the supervision of an archæologist.
§ Mr. Tomlinson:Representatives of the Department have recently been to the housing site at Budbury, and I am advised that the operations so far carried out have not involved excavation so deep as to affect any archæological remains.
