§ Mr. LawsonNo, Sir. All welfare officers overseas are paid and full-time. At home, there are some full-time officers, but in general reliance is placed on voluntary welfare officers, who have given magnificent and much appreciated services. This system has produced excellent results and it is proposed to continue it as long as these results are achieved.
