§ Mr. Austinasked the Minister of Fuel and Power what quantities of coal are at present being exported from this country to Spain; and for what purpose.
§ Mr. ShinwellI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave last week to any hon. Friend the Member for Cardiff, Central (Mr. G. Thomas). We receive from Spain certain foodstuffs and other commodities we need. The coal is of a quality for which there is little use in this country, and if we did not send small quantities to Spain our chances of obtaining these commodities might be prejudiced.
