§ Mrs. Ayrton Gouldasked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware of the conditions under which the men are living in the artillery camps at Polegate, near Eastbourne, that there is no sanitation, no hot water or lighting in the washhouse, and only eight taps for some 120 men, that the huts are damp with leaking roofs; and whether he is prepared to evacuate the men to more hygienic and comfortable quarters at an early date.
§ Mr. LawsonI have no information that troops are now living in artillery camps at Polegate. If my hon. Friend will provide details, I will have further inquiries made.
