§ Mr. J. HyndI am advised by the Army authorities that no detailed figures are available of Germans who have entered the British Zone in Germany from the U.S.S.R. Zones suffering from typhoid, typhus or diphtheria. I am further advised that although improved methods of notification have resulted in more cases of infectious diseases being recorded there has been no indication of an increase in these diseases in the British Zone. In addition to the routine measures for preventing the spread of infectious diseases to Western Europe, an epidemic control system has been established on the borders of the British Zone.
