Mr. I. O. Thomasasked the Undersecretary of State for Air if he is aware that at No. 2 School of Technical Training, R.A.F., Cosford, Staffordshire, the blackout has not yet been removed from the glass structure of the building; that, as a result, electric light is used throughout the day causing ill-effects to the workpeople's eyesight and wastage of fuel; and if steps will be taken to deal with the matter.
§ Mr. StracheyThe trouble is that the blackout paint on these skylights was so effectively put on that no one has so far been able to get it off. It may be necessary to put in new glass altogether and the building labour to do that is of course not available.
