asked the Attorney-General whether he will issue instructions that a woman shall be appointed to every pensions appeals tribunal that is to hear the application of a woman.

I would remind the hon. Member that paragraph 3 (2) of the Schedule to the Pensions Appeal Tribunals Act, 1943, provides that one of the members of a tribunal shall be of the same sex as the person in respect of whose incapacity, disablement or death the claim to which the appeal relates was made.
