§ Mr. LawsonAs the Japanese Government did not furnish complete lists of the prisoners of war they captured, and failed to notify many deaths which occurred among prisoners of war during their captivity, I am unable to give the figures asked for. Active steps are being taken to discover the facts, so far as they are still ascertainable, but it will be some months before the resulting figures are available.
