HC Deb 12 November 1945 vol 415 c1883W
Mr. Lennox-Boyd

asked the Minister of Labour the number of working days lost by unofficial industrial disputes in October.

Mr. Isaacs

On the basis of such information as is at present available, it is provisionally estimated that the aggregate number of man-days lost during October through stoppages of work arising from industrial disputes was about 1,100,000. While the information available does not permit a precise distinction to be made between official and unofficial stoppages, practically all of the man-days lost arose from unofficial stoppages.
