§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Labour whether he will now consider setting aside the exclusory clause in his memorandum of May 1945, concerning the deferment of arts scholars born between October 1926 and September 1927, by which men already enlisted, or attested, were excluded from deferment; and, in particular, investigate the case, details of which have been submitted to him, and release a university scholar whose scholarship studies are interrupted by his detention in the Army.
§ Mr. IsaacsNo, Sir. In the case referred to it was open to the scholar to remain at school and apply for deferment if he so desired.
