§ Sir T. Mooreasked the Secretary of State for War to what war medals British troops are entitled who have served for the last four years in India or Ceylon.
§ Mr. LawsonAll such troops are entitled to the Defence Medal. In addition, they may qualify for the 1939–45 Star if they rendered six months' service within certain defined operational areas of the North-West Frontier during1054W prescribed periods between 3rd February, 1940, and 18th August, 1942. They may qualify for the Burma Star if they served in any part of Bengal and Assam between 1st May, 1942, and 31st December, 1943, or East of the Brahmaputra River between 1st January, 1944, and 2nd September, 1945, provided they had already qualified for the 1939–45 Star.
