§ Major C. S. Taylorasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will now consider removing the ban on the use by civilians of telescopes and binoculars in this country.
Sir J. GriģģThis ban serves naval as well as military interests. The areas to which it applies have been considerably reduced since August of last year. As soon as I am advised that there is no longer any operational need for the continuance of the ban in the areas where it still applies, the restriction on the use of telescopes and binoculars will be removed.
