HC Deb 02 March 1945 vol 408 c1678W
Mr. A. Edwards

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, as many cooks in the A.C.C. have served as cooks for two years and longer before being asked to be inoculated against typhoid fever and have not suffered in health or caused damage to the health of any other person by remaining uninoculated, he will cancel the order requiring cooks to be inoculated or to transfer to some other branch of Army Service.

Sir J. Grigg

No, Sir. If any A.C.C. cooks have served as such for two years without being required to be inoculated against typhoid fever, this is a breach of regulations which might well have endangered the health of many soldiers.
