§ Sir I. Fraser
asked the Secretary of State for War if he will cause inquiry to be made into the explosion of a Mills bomb on Kirkby Moor, near Ulverston, on Wednesday, 9th May, which caused the 1894W death of one boy and the serious wounding of two others; and if he will assure the House that open spaces which have been used as training grounds with live ammunition will now be swept.
§ Sir J. Grigg
An inquiry into this distressing accident is being held. It has been delayed because the unit which was in occupation of the area in question is now overseas. Very full instructions exist with regard to the search for and collection of dangerous material which may be left on training grounds.
