§ Sir J. AndersonI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Wallsend (Miss Ward) on 5th December, 1944, a copy of which I am sending him. As I indicated in my reply to the hon. Member for Frome (Mrs. Tate) on 27th February, 1945, the moves now under consideration are not part of a planned policy of decentralisation, though they would not be incompatible with such a decision if taken at a later date.
