HC Deb 12 June 1945 vol 411 c1489W
Mr. Bartlett

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can expedite the supply of wireless batteries to blind people in view of the fact that the British Wireless for the Blind Fund has been unable to supply batteries or accumulators for several months.

Mr. Lyttelton

The end of the war in Europe should bring an improvement in supplies of civilian wireless batteries, production of which has, until now, been restricted by urgent Service demands. If the hon. Member will let me have details of the particular area in which batteries for blind people are needed, I will see what can be done to help.
