WilliamsNo steps have yet been taken to recruit additional staff for the purpose mentioned by my hon. and gallant Friend, and it is unlikely that any998W progress in that direction will be made while the war with Germany continues. Consequently my right hon. Friend is not in a position to give any indication of when the "appointed day" for the Act of 1944 to come into operation will be fixed.
