§ Mr. Woodburnasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether any early decision is to be expected to build a road bridge over the Forth.
§ Mr. Noel-BakerHis Majesty's Government do not consider that the construction of a road bridge across the Forth can be accorded a high priority among the public works required after the war. They will, however, keep the matter under review, and will consider whether progress can be made with any preliminary work that may be needed by way of further investigation or the preparation of plans. I should explain, however, that such work could only be undertaken when the technical staff required could be released from other work of higher priority.
