§ Mr. Henderson Stewartasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that coupons for the purchase of waterproof aprons for the use of market-garden workers are no longer issued by war agricultural executive committees, that such aprons are urgently needed; and if he will take steps to have industrial boots, similar to those supplied to miners, made available to all land workers in Scotland.
§ Mr. DaltonWar agricultural committees have never been authorised to issue coupons for waterproof aprons, which require only one coupon each. As regards safety boots, owing to the very limited manufacturing capacity, I have had to restrict buying permits to workers in the industries where the rate of foot accidents is highest. But I have maintained a large production of stout agricultural boots suitable for land workers.
