§ Mr. A. Edwardsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport what are the results of the negotiations between this country and Sweden on the joining by Sweden of the Allied Shipping Pool; and whether other countries were invited.
§ Mr. Noel-BakerWe are hoping shortly to learn whether the Swedish Government have decided to join the United Maritime Authority. It is open to any Government of the United Nations, or to the Government of any neutral country, to join the Authority, if they desire to do so, and if they are prepared to accept the obligations which membership involves.
