§ Sir S. CrippsArrangements were made last year for a limited number of coupons to be available through the Ministry of Education to local education authorities for the purchase of physical training clothing. Local authorities were warned that in general no additional supplies of raw material could be made for this purpose and that they would have to compete with other consumers for the available supplies of such clothing. In cases of special hardship, however, the Ministry of Education are, I understand, prepared to consider authorising limited issues of material to suppliers, and if my hon. Friend has any such cases in mind I suggest that he should bring them to the notice of the Minister.
