§ Mr. LawsonAn Allied Land Force was sent to Norway in May, 1945, to effect the disarmament and evacuation of some 300,000 German Wehrmacht who were in Norway on VE-day. This force is now being rapidly withdrawn. Withdrawal is to be completed this month except for essential rear parties and certain small administrative units, which will be withdrawn by the end of February, 1946.
