Mr. Baldwinasked the Minister of Food whether he will see that rural areas in North Herefordshire have supplies of salt available in order that farmers and farm workers can slaughter and cure their bacon pigs, special attention being given to the shortage which has existed for some time in the district of Leintwardine.
§ Dr. SummerskillThe Departments' officers are doing all they can to keep up supplies where the need is greatest. They have received no complaints about special shortages in North Herefordshire, but if the hon. Member would care to send me particulars I shall be glad to have inquiries made.
