asked the Secretary of State for War whether he can yet make a statement concerning the British ex-prisoners of war missing in the Russian zone of Germany; and, if not, what steps are being taken to induce the Russian Government to appreciate the deep concern over the matter felt in this country.

I cannot add anything to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of State to a Question by the hon. Member for Thirsk and Malton (Mr. Turton) on 26th November. As regards other action being taken to trace the men I would refer the hon. and gallant Mem-344W ber to the reply I gave on 27th November to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Kennington (Mr. Gibson).
