Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Labour whether in view of the fact that at various hostels throughout the country there are numbers of soldiers, sailors and airmen who have been in the services for periods varying from three to five years and who volunteered for the mines at the time they were urgently required for this industry, on the understanding that their services in the mines would count towards their group for release, and whose release groups for demobilisation have been promulgated, the Government will consider their discharge forthwith.
§ Mr. IsaacsI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on 6th December to a question by the hon. Member for Sunderland (Mr. F. Willey) a copy of which I am sending him.
