HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 c361W
Mr. Old field

asked the Minister of Labour the number of disabled persons registering for employment at Manchester Employment Exchanges; and whether it is the Minister's intention to use his powers, under the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act, at an early date, to ensure a fair share of employment for the disabled.

Mr. Isaacs

At 19th November last, the number of unemployed persons registered as disabled under the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act at the seven Manchester Employment Exchanges was 627 though not all of those eligible have yet registered. The answer to the second part of the Question is in the affirmative.
