HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 cc340-1W
Mr. Hogg

asked the Secretary of Stats for War by what authority money from the Comforts Fund of Morris Motors, Limited, sent to their former employees serving in the Forces is reckoned as income for the purpose of making dependants' allowances.

Mr. Lawson

This action is taken under the rules governing the grant of dependants' allowances, under which it is necessary to take into account any income of the soldier from outside sources which is available for the maintenance of the dependant.
