§ Mr. Linstead
asked the Minister of Works whether he is aware that the L.C.C. are unable to obtain from the Ministry of Supply, material necessary to complete bomb damage repairs to May-field School, West Hill, Putney; and when he anticipates being able to place these materials at the disposal of the L.C.C. and so provide the accommodation urgently needed for pupils who have been brought back to London.177W
§ Mr. Tomlinson
I am informed that the only material in respect of which the L.C.C.'s contractors have encountered difficulty is distemper. There is a general shortage of this in London, and I am inquiring into the position.
