§ Colonel LlewellinThe number of firms participating as importers or merchants in the scheme for regulating the importation and distribution of essential oils varies according to the kinds of oil available and the countries from which imports are received. At present about 300 firms are operating in these capacities. Some 30 different manufacturing industries are represented in the scheme as users of essential oils. I regret that it would not be in the public interest to reveal the quantities imported under the scheme.
