§ Sir A. DuncanIn order to stabilise the price of cotton yarn and cloth, which are used mainly for Government and utility requirements, raw cotton has been sold at a loss. The loss incurred during the three years to March, 1944, on sales of cotton purchased in bulk amounted to some £2,500,000.
