HC Deb 20 October 1944 vol 403 cc2681-2W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is prepared to specify the category of trades hitherto the monopoly of Germany and Japan to which British industrialists are now being invited to turn their attention; and what facilities he is giving for industrialists to make the necessary preparations.

Mr. Dalton

I shall be very glad to give industrialists any help I can in preparing to enter or extend any of the industries in which Germany or Japan have had a large export trade. I have already said that manufacturers who wish to undertake preparatory work for post-war trade should state their needs to the Board of Trade.
