§ Sir R. Glynasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if it is intended to continue the regional offices of various Departments throughout the country.
§ Sir J. AndersonI am not in a position to make a full statement, but there is no doubt that the efficient application of Government policy, and the maintenance of a proper service to the public, will require a number of Departments to maintain regional representation. I would refer my hon. Friend in particular to paragraph 30 of the White Paper on Employment Policy (Command 6527).
