asked the Secretary of State for War what steps are taken to ensure that the safeguarding of Home Guard ammunition is maintained with the utmost care despite the diminution of regular attendances by the men.

Home Guard ammunition shelters are widely distributed throughout the country, and have always received a measure of police protection. This protection will continue. Steps are being taken to withdraw certain types of ammunition altogether from the Home Guard and to concentrate the remainder in more easily guarded dumps.
