§ Mr. Dolandasked the Minister of Health if he will consider reimbursing the London boroughs for their loss of rateable value owing to the flying bomb and other enemy attacks; and if he will consider the loss so occasioned be a change upon the whole community.
§ Mr. WillinkMy hon. Friend is aware that a scheme is in operation under which financial assistance is given to local authorities whose loss of income owing to the war is so great that there is a serious risk of a breakdown of essential local services. I do not consider that a case has been made for changing the present arrangements.
