§ Mr. Noel-BakerFrom September, 1939, to September, 1944, inclusive, 5,002 persons were killed in road accidents in Scotland. Statistics of non-fatal accidents are not available from the beginning of the war until April, 1941, but since that date and up to the end of September, 1944, 49,536 persons were injured.
