HC Deb 03 November 1944 vol 404 cc1103-4W
Sir I. Fraser

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport if he will arrange for the reservation of a compartment for disabled ex-Service men and women on main line trains until five minutes before the train leaves the station.

Mr. Noel-Baker

I very much regret that my hon. and gallant Friend's proposal is impracticable. Arrangements are, however, already in force whereby, on prior production of a medical certificate, seats may be reserved on trains for invalids who are unable to travel in the ordinary accommodation. The railway companies give every consideration to applications by invalid ex-Servicemen and women who are eligible for reservations under these arrangements.
