§ Captain T. Coxasked the Minister of Labour if post-war plans to assist partly disabled ex-Servicemen by land settlement schemes and by re-employing such personnel in industrial and other occupations, have been worked out and are ready to be set in motion after the war.
§ Mr. E. BevinFor a statement of the general position, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave on nth April to the hon. and gallant Member for Lonsdale (Sir I. Fraser). Plans to assist disabled ex-Servicemen to obtain employment in industrial and other occupations after the war are being worked out, both in connection with the operation of the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act and otherwise, in preparation for the end of the war. I am in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries about the nature and scope of the employment that will be available for ex-Servicemen on the land.
