HC Deb 24 March 1944 vol 398 cc1215-6W
Flight-Lieutenant Teeling

asked the Minister of Information why on 20th March in the Home News, including the midnight news, the B.B.C. referred to the wedding of King Peter of Yugoslavia as taking place at the Yugoslav Legation when it is in fact an embassy; and whether this mistake was also made in all or any of the broadcast references to the ceremony made for Yugoslavia.

Mr. Thurtle

I am informed by the B.B.C. that this mistake in sub-editing was made in both the Home and the Yugoslav bulletins. They ask me to say that they regret this.
