§ Sir J. Mellorasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he will give an assurance that the 19 coasting vessels on the Eire Register, referred to in questions 2608 to 2628 in the Minutes of Evidence taken before the Committee of Public Accounts, 1943, and Appendix No. 3 to the Report, were covered by the Ministry's war risks insurance scheme exclusively for the carriage of goods consigned to or from ports in the United Kingdom; and that, while insured under the scheme, they did not ship goods consigned from one Eire port to another Eire port.
§ Mr. Noel-BakerNo such condition was imposed in the insurance policy of these ships. I regret that there is no record of the individual voyages which they performed during the period in question.
