HC Deb 21 June 1944 vol 401 cc204-5W
Sir Smedley Crooke

asked the President of the Board of Trade if, in order to help small traders, he will consider the advisability of cancelling the Price Regulated Goods Order, S.R. &O., No. 794, and in its stead making two new Orders, one covering goods which are still only price regulated and another listing all goods the subject of maximum prices and/or margin orders.

Mr. Dalton

Yes, Sir. I intend to issue a revised Price Regulated Goods Order excluding those goods the prices of which have been brought under other forms of control since the existing Order was made. I am also considering publishing in a form convenient to traders a list of the goods which are the subject of maximum price or margin Orders.
