§ Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Labour if he has any further information respecting long hours worked by juveniles; and if he will give the approximate number of young workers of 16 years of age who are employed, respectively, more than 50 and 55 hours per week.
§ Mr. BevinThe figures asked for in the last part of the Question are not available; my present general policy is not to authorise the regular employment of young persons over 16 in factories for more than 52 hours a week, except temporarily in cases of very special urgency and even then for not more than 55 hours.
