Mr. McNeilasked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he has considered a memorial from the Corporation of Greenock upon the possibility of unemployment in the shipbuilding and engineering industries; and what action he proposes to take, particularly in relation to paragraphs 12 and 14 which deal respectively with the construction of a graving dock and the production of torpedoes.
§ Captain PilkingtonMy hon. Friend will appreciate that the proposals to which he particularly refers will need to be considered in relation to other large post-war problems affecting the maintenance of the Fleet. In this setting the Admiralty will give to the Memorial the careful consideration which it merits.
