§ Colonel Greenwellasked the Minister of Health what is the object of the Ministry's circular letter No. 136/44 of 5th October, regarding the derequisitioning of house property at present held by the War Office, in view of the fact that area quartering commandants are still refusing to derequisition houses even when houses have been empty for some time; and if he will confer further with the Secretary of State for War, with a view to having the terms of this circular letter implemented forthwith.
§ Mr. WillinkA considerable number of dwelling houses have been released by the military authorities. I am conferring with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War to see whether further releases can be effected. I shall be ready to look into any individual case if my hon. and gallant Friend will let me have particulars.
