§ Mr. Harveyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the present amount of the grant-in-aid to the Royal Society and other bodies in respect of scientific publications; and whether, in view of the recommendations made by 390W the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee and other bodies, he is yet in a position to indicate whether it will be possible in the near future to make a substantial increase in this grant.
