§ Major Nieldasked the Secretary of State for War if he can give an assurance that, in selecting troops for service in the Far East, at the end of the European war, if it should finish first, he will, as far as possible, avoid making use of men who have already been separated from their wives and families for a substantial period of time by service overseas.
